Silver medieval penny of Richard III, dating to 1483 - 1485 AD. Episcopal mint at York under Archbishop Rotherham. Obverse of forward-facing bust with T and upright key at neck. Reverse of long cross pattee with quatrefoil at centre and three pellets in corners. Inscriptions worn. The coin is 16.25mm in diameter, 0.60mm in thickness and 0.64g in weight. Spink (2018) no. 2166; North (1991) no. 1686.

Compare Die three in Local Dies Group A in Purvey (1962) which has the initial cross to the right of the central fleur. Reference: Purvey, F.
