A complete and worn Medieval silver penny of Edward II (1307-1327), minted at Bury St Edmunds. Class 11b1, 1312-1314 (North 1991: 36, ref: 1061/1).
Obverse: EDWAR ANGL DNS hYB (angle-backed E); Crowned bust facing with a bifoliate crown and wedged drapery.
Reverse: VILL/SCIE/DMV/NDI (angle-backed E); Long cross dividing the inscription with three pellets in each quadrant.
Diameter: 18.0mm. Weight: 1.35g. DA=12:12.
