An incomplete Medieval copper-alloy buckle consisting of a frame and plate (c. 1200-c. 1450). The pin is missing. The frame is oval in plan, convex at the front and flat at the rear and measures 11.5mm in length, 16.3mm in width and 1.8mm in thickness. It has an ornate outside edge and a narrowed off-set bar. The outer edge is straight with a lobe at each end. The upper face of the outside edge has a pair of transverse ridges next to each lobe and the centre is plain with no pin-rest. A complete post-Medieval lead alloy double-sided token (1500-1850). Powell Type 2/1. Both sides have a raised design. One side has initial letters (possibly] and the other side has a crudely executed six-petalled 'compass-drawn' flower head formed of segments. This token is light buff. Diameter: 19.0mm. A complete lead alloy possible spindle whorl of Unknown date (c. 43-c. 1800). The spindle whorl is circular in plan and is hemi-spherical, domed at the top and flat on the underside. A central hole has parallel sides and is 7.4mm in diameter. This spindle whorl is greyish buff. Length: 18.0mm; width: 17.4mm; thickness: 7.8mm. Weight: 12.42g. Plain spindle whorls and weights were cast locally in lead from the Roman period onwards and are hard to date precisely although most are late Medieval or post-Medieval.
