The upper and lower faces of the object have applied moulded decoration. The decoration is composed of a raised seam with repeating leaf pattern. A complete, but squashed copper alloy sewing ring of Medieval or early Post-Medieval date, about AD 1450 - 1550. The ring tapers slightly from the base towards the open top and the outer surface is decorated with four concentric rings of circular pits. The thimble has been partially flattened, and one side has cracked. It measures 27.4mm wide, 8.7mm tall, 6.6mm thick and 3g. A post medieval lead alloy two or four-disc cloth seal. Parts of one disc and the central rivet integral to that disc survive. One face of the disc is stamped, on the rivet, with a design of short lines in saltire, perhaps sceptres, or crossed keys. Any further design or olettering that may have been present on the outer area or on the other side, is no longer visible. The seal is 26.2mm diameter, 5.5mm thick and 9.1g. A perforated conical lead weight of uncertain date, from the Roman to post-medieval period, AD 43 - 1900. The weight is sub-conical in shape with a circular base, tapering sides and a tilted domed top. There is a sub-circular perforation from the apex, slightly curved to the centre of the base. The base of the weight has a ring shaped concavity probably the result of the cooling lead shrinking. The surface of the weight is uneven and it has a well developed white patina. A cast copper-alloy rowel spur of Post-Medieval date, probably AD 1600 - 1700. Only the back of the heel and the rowel box survive. Most of the sides and both terminals are missing. The neck is divided into two sections and each side has a rounded knob at the end, perforated for the missing rowel axle. The rowel is also missing. The sides are undecorated and are D shaped in cross section. The spur fragment is 42.3mm long, 31.9mm wide and 10mm thick. 10g. An incomplete copper-alloy strap fitting of Post-Medieval date, c.AD 1500 - 1700. The fitting is kite-shaped with two integral spikes projecting from opposite points on the reverse. The front of the fitting has three stepped circumferential ridges. The tip of one spike has been lost to a worn break. The metal has a mid-red/brown patina and is worn. The fitting is 19.9mm long, 11.8mm wide, 2.4mm thick and weighs 1.9g. A number of similar fittings have been recorded on the PAS database. There is a circumferential ridge separating the two hemispheres. The upper hemisphere has two opposing circular sound holes, with no decoration present.
