An incomplete clay tobacco Pipe of Post-Medieval date (AD 1780-1840). The object is composed of the moulded bowl and partial circular stem. The upper and lower faces of the object have applied moulded decoration. The decoration is composed of a raised seam with repeating leaf pattern.

An incomplete copper-alloy barb spring padlock case of medieval date, c. AD 1100 - 1300. The lock comprises a hollow cylindrical case with a rectangular pierced arm projecting upward from one end. A rectangular key aperture is present to the end, below the arm. The opposite end is obscured by corrosion.
The metal has a mid-green patina and is worn. The lock is 28.3mm long, 8mm wide and 2.2mm thick at the arm, the case us 9.8mm in diameter. The object weighs 7.9g.

A lead alloy probably Post Medieval button dating from about AD 1550 - 1700. The button is a circular object made from two pieces of lead. The upper piece is a perimeter rim with an openwork design of six curved radiating arms from a central dot. Each arm is decorated with many transverse grooves. A smaller circular back piece fits inside the rim. There is a faint casting seam across the reverse and there was probably once a loop projecting from this rib. The button has a dark grey patina. The die has a vesica-shaped central panel inscribing C(R) set longitudinally; the surrounding legend reads: +S'WALTERIPIE. The back face has an engraved crude latine cross close to one of the pointed end.

An incomplete medieval (1200-1400) copper-alloy pointed oval brooch with protruding collets/ turrets to the upper face. It is incomplete insofar as the pin is missing. What remains of the brooch measures 37.3mm in length, 23.2mm in width and weighs 6.17g.
The frame is ovoid with a rounded convex front. It's decorated with six, broadly oval collets/ turrets, two at the very top being quite close together. A Mesolithic or Neolithic flint adze or pick (c. 10000 -c. 3500 BC) .
This object has been made on an elongated flint nodule. It is sub-oval in cross-section except at the butt end where it is sub triangular in cross-section. The dorsal face has about 80% off-white cortex and the ventral face has been crudely flaked all over. A large indentation on the ventral face appears to have been made deliberately. An incomplete Roman copper alloy hinged developed T-shaped brooch dating to AD 75 to 150. The surviving portion comprises of part of the head with a tab and the upper part of the bow. The brooch appears to have a high tin or zinc conent or heavy white metal coating giving a silvery appearence.
The brooch has open-ended cylindrical wings that extend for 31.9 mm in width and 4.3 mm in diameter. The left wing is complete and decorated at the end with two incised lines across the front only. The right wing survives for 14.4 mm in width to an old break with traces of white cement. The w…

A complete copper-alloy mount of medieval date, c.AD 1300 - 1500. The mount is sexfoil in plan comprising six convex roundels with a domed profile. A central perforation is present through which a rivet would have fitted to hold the mount onto a strap or similar. The rivet no longer survives. The surface of the mount is undecorated.
The metal has a dark green patina and is worn. The mount is 12.9mm in diameter, 0.6mm thick and weighs 0.6g.

An incomplete copper alloy seal matrix dated to the Post Medieval period (c. AD 1500- 1700). The seal has a square handle terminating in a round suspension loop, now broken. The matrix end is circular in plan and attached to the handle via a waisted join. The face of the seal carries a design of cross-hatching in the form of projecting lozenges. The object is well worn with a dark green patina.
Similar examples recorded on the databse include: WILT-788EB3; LVPL-B3AAA6; and PUBLIC-A8E795, all of which offer a Post Medieval date.

A complete copper-alloy Trumpet brooch of Roman date, c.AD 75 - 175. The head of the brooch is ovate with a concave reverse which retains a two tubular lugs. An axis bar remains fitted through the lugs, its ends continuing to form a loop above the head, held by a separate rectangular collar. The front of the collar has a central panel of ribbed decoration flanked above and below by recessed grooves. An early post-medieval (1500-1700) copper-alloy dress hook of Read Class A, Type 2 with three attachment knops (hooked section).
The plate is flat and 2.1mm thick. It depicts a central expanding stem, and has a spray of three flowers surrounded by ring-and-dot decoration flanking the outside edge. In total, the hooked tag measures 43.1mm in length, 30.3mm wide and weighs 9.54g.

An incomplete copper alloy brooch of Colchester derivative Polden Hill type, of Roman date (AD 80-120).
The brooch consists of the head and wings and the upper part of the bow. The axis bar, spring, pin, foot and catch plate are missing. The wings are semi- cylindrical in plan with intact end caps which are pierced to hold the axis bar which is now missing. At the reverse of the head is a rectangular slot that would have housed the spring. At the head of the brooch in the centre is a pierced crest which has the partial remains of the spring.
