An incomplete disc-shaped, convex copper alloy mount or stud, possibly dating to the Roman period.
Description: The mount is dome shaped in cross-section. The upper surface is undecorated but has a circular indented groove which runs on the inside of the circumference. A crack, and iron corrosion follows the groove all the way around The underside surface is flat and has the remains of an iron shank in the centre. Iron corrosion is also evident on the underside of the object. The mount has a grey patina with some green corrosion begining to effect it.
