An incomplete cast copper alloy 'stirrup' finger ring of probable Medieval date (AD 1200-1450). The hoop of the finger ring is distorted, and broken across the mid-point of the both broken edges are abraded and worn suggesting damage in antiquity. From the break the hoop flares (expands) at the shoulders of the ring to form a relatively plain decorated bezel. The bezel projects from the hoop and is rhomboid in section. The bezel is sub-rectangular in plan and sub-rectangular in cross section - an oval shaped depression filled with light green corrosion is presnet on the exterior face.…

Complete cast copper alloy (possibly brass) thimble of the open-ended sewing ring type or tailor's thimble of later medieval or post medieval date (1400-1600). The thimble is broadly circular in plan with gentle sloping upwards tapering sides and an open top. The lower rim of the thimble is thickened with a slight out-turned edge above which a circumferential incised line extends. A late medieval to early post-medieval copper-alloy finger-ring, dating to the period 1400-1600. It measures 21.6mm in diameter and weighs 11.59g. The finger-ring is circular in shape with a raised, thickened, flat bezel. The bezel is gilded and engraved in black letter with the letters IhS (a Greek abbreviation for Jesus).
