An incomplete medieval (1200-1400) copper-alloy pointed oval brooch with protruding collets/ turrets to the upper face. It is incomplete insofar as the pin is missing. What remains of the brooch measures 37.3mm in length, 23.2mm in width and weighs 6.17g. The frame is ovoid with a rounded convex front. It's decorated with six, broadly oval collets/ turrets, two at the very top being quite close together. The other five collets have small settings, which may once have held a glass stone or paste. The frame has been squashed to an oval shape and is broken at one point. There is no constriction for the pin. The pin tapers slightly towards the end.
