An incomplete Medieval to post-Medieval annular buckle (c. 1350-c. 1650). The frame is circular in plan, 33.95 mm in diameter, 2.57 mm thick and 4.71 mm in height, and with straight inner edge and bevelled outer edge. Both the frame and the bar are corroded and pitted in places and has a dark brown patina. The central bar is 2.31mm thick and has a flat back and rounded front side. The buckle is missing its pin. Whitehead (1996) illustrates a similar annular buckles on page 45, no.256, which is dated from c.1350 to 1650.

An incomplete silver penny of the Medieval period from the reign of Edward III (AD1327-1377), pre-treaty series D, Durham mint dating to 1352-3. Obverse description: Crowned head facing. A probably late medieval/ post-medieval (1400-1700) copper alloy link or strap distributor, cast in one piece and comprising two annular rings (c.15mm diameter) linked by two bars c.12mm in length and c.12mm apart. A complete cast lead spindle whorl of the Medieval period (AD900-1500). The object is plano-convex with a flat base and domed top with a central perforation.There is no decoration on any surface. It seems to have been roughly cast as there are several casting marks and pits but there are also some marks that are modern.The aperture measures 13.06mm at the top and 13.98mm at the base.The overall patina is a pale grey colour with some darker patches. An incomplete copper-alloy buckle of medieval date, c.AD 1150 - 1450. Only part of the buckle plate remains. It is sub-rectangular with two split loops, creating a pin slot, for the bar of the buckle. The reverse plate has been lost to worn breaks at the loops. A single rivet hole is present at the centre of the opposite end of the plate. The object is undecorated. The metal has a mid-green patina and is worn. A complete, but squashed copper alloy sewing ring of Medieval or early Post-Medieval date, about AD 1450 - 1550. The ring tapers slightly from the base towards the open top and the outer surface is decorated with four concentric rings of circular pits. An incomplete copper-alloy barb spring padlock case of medieval date, c. AD 1100 - 1300. The lock comprises a hollow cylindrical case with a rectangular pierced arm projecting upward from one end. A rectangular key aperture is present to the end, below the arm. The opposite end is obscured by corrosion. The metal has a mid-green patina and is worn.
