A complete cast lead spindle whorl of the Early Medieval period (AD700-1066). The object is circular with flat faces and slightly curved sides and a central aperture.The aperture is 9.31mm in diameter.There are some scratches and marks on all surfaces, some of which are modern. There is no decoration. The general patina is a light grey colour. Thickness 6.58mm, weight 34.6g, diameter 27.42mm.
