A lead alloy spindle whorl of medieval to post-medieval date, circa (AD 1100-1600). In plan the spindle whorl is sub-circular and in profile is bi-convex. There is a central sub-circular perforation which is 11.7 mm in diameter. Both faces have been decorated with a repeating pattern of ribs forming a zig zag pattern.The surface of the spindle whorl is cream to grey in colour . A complete lead or lead alloy flat spindle whorl, of Roman to Post Medieval dating (AD 43 - AD 1650). The spindle whorl is sub circular in shape, and D shaped in profile. The central hole is sub circular in shape and has an internal diameter measuring 7.2 mm wide. Both faces are undecorated. The front face is convex and the reverse face is flat. A complete lead-alloy spindle whorl of medieval to Post-Medieval date, c.AD 1200 - 1800. The spindle whorl is bi-conical with a central perforation running through it. Both surfaces are decorated with irregularly spaced raised ridges radiating from the perforation to the outer edge. Each resulting trapezoidal cell contains one or two raised pellets.
