A silver hammered sixpence of Elizabeth I dating to 1569.
Obverse shows very worn outline of left facing bust with rose behind. The inscription is very worn and the edge shows signs of wear or clipping.
Long cross fourchée reverse over squared shield with date (1569) above. Coronet initial mark. London tower mint. AD 1569.
The coin is 24mm in diameter and weighs 2.4g.
