A copper alloy, Medieval scabbard or sheath chape for a dagger or knife, AD.1100-1250. The object is formed from a single sheet of copper alloy that has been folded at the mid point into half to wrap around the leather. The object tapers towards the point of the scabbard. There are two opposed long arms that run up the length of the scabbard and are connected by a rivet, in situ, that passes through a circular terminal at the end of each arm.
