Medieval lead 7oz weight dating to the period c. AD 1300 - 1500. Shield-shaped with a bordering flange with a moulded desing in the centre, now indiscernible. It exhibits numerous nicks and scratches on all faces. Length 57.6mm. Width: 42.7mm. Thickness: 16.5mm. Weighs 3317.96 grains, 6.9oz, 215g. Cf. Biggs (1992), 42-3. A mercantile pound of 16oz Troy was in use during the 14th and 15th centuries (Biddle 1990, 911 Table 91 f.n.2).

Medieval enamelled copper alloy horse harness pendant, shield-shaped with suspension-loop. Height/length 51mm. Width 32.5mm. Worn and corroded, surface treatment of metal (gilding/tinning) missing, remains of black enamel in the ermine spots and red enamel in the checky field. Blazon: Checky [?Or /?Argent] and Gules a fess ermine. The arms are likely to be intended for CALEY, CLIFTON or TURBERVILLE, who bore Checky Or and Gules a fess ermine (DBA, Chesshyre and Woodcock 1992, 309 and Corder 1965, col. 70). 13th-14th century.
