A glass bottle fragment of probable Roman date, AD 43 - 410. The fragment is the complete rim and incomplete neck in very light pink glass. The rim has an external diameter of 25.3mm and is sub-circular, and the internal opening diameter is 12.8mm. The top of the rim is flat and the sides are bevelled. The neck is 21.8mm diameter at the top, and is incomplete. There are occasional bubbles in the glass, and no evidence of mould lines. 26.1mm tall and 10.8g.

A crudely cast lead unidentified artefact, possibly a weight or a lead adhesive to anchor a fixing into stone. It is probably of post-Medieval date, about AD 1600 - 1900. It is in the form of a blunt cone, with one flat and one rounded face. In the centre of the flat face is a loop or staple of fine copper alloy wire, perhaps a suspension loop or anchoring. An incomplete, cast lead artefact, possibly a steelyard weight of Roman date, AD 43 - 410. It is in the form of a truncated cone, rounded at one end and with a hollow depression in the base. Two stubs of ferrous wire project from the base, possibly the remains of an iron loop. These two sections of wire are also visible in the rounded upper surface, perhaps suggesting a second loop. The weight has a light cream patina. It is 23.5mm high and 17.3mm in diameter at the base. It weighs 32.62gm. These weights are discussed in Geake, H., 2000 ,Finds Recording Guide. (Unpublished).

A Post Medieval cast copper alloy trade weight from the reign of James I (AD 1603 - 1625) or James II (AD 1685 - 1688). The weight is circular and flat with no rim. The front has a central dimple and the back has file marks across it. It is stamped with a Crowned I (for James I or II) at 6 o'clock and an ewer (for the founders company) at 11 o'clock. There may have been sword stamped at 1 o'clock, this area is now very worn. It is 13.7mm in diameter and 3.2mm thick. It weighs 2.93gm. It was probably originally an eighth (0.125oz) of an ounce (two drams) with some weight lost to corrosion.

An incomplete lead alloy pilgrim's ampulla of Medieval date, about AD 1300 - 1500. It has a scallop motif on one face; the other face is too worn to decipher the design. The ampulla has a circular body, and a narrow neck, part of which has been torn away and is missing, as is one of the triangular suspension loops at the base of the neck. The other loop remains in place. The ampulla has a light cream patina. It is 46.4mm long, 32.2mm wide and 8.6mm thick. It weighs 31.41gm. Other ampullas of this type are recorded on the database; compare for example references HAMP-FA5016 and SF023ADA.

The whorl has a light grey patina. It is 27.3mm in diameter and 12.5mm thick, with a central, circular perforation of internal diameter 10.4mm. It weighs 43.66gm. Walton Rogers (in the Flixborough volume and York Fasicules) suggests that biconical whorls date from AD 1100 onwards and cites Ivens et al (1995) that those with dots are Post Medieval.
