An early post medieval copper alloy dress hook of Read's Class E Type 3 dating from c. AD 1500-1650. The object is sub circular, with moulded relief and openwork, with a rectangular or trapezium shaped loop attachment at the top of the plate. In the centre of the circular plate is a domed boss possibly in the shape of a flower, with a central circular cell and possibly petals radiating out. An incomplete Post Medieval copper alloy belt mount or fitting, dating from c.17th century AD. The mount is sub triangular shaped, and has a trefoil projecting from the narrowed end. The centre of the mount has a raised trefoil decoration, this was possibly originally a floral motif. Either side of this is raised. At the terminal end there are three rounded projections. On the reverse there are two integral attachment prongs which are worn and broken. The mount has a dark red brown patina. The face of the mount has traces of gilding in the recesses.
