A hammered or struck silver penny of Charles I, AD1625 - 1649. Pellet Mint Mark. Minted at Oxford, AD1642 - 1646.
Coin has been perforated from obverse through to reverse. This perforation has a sub-rectangular shape and is positioned close to the edge of the inner field, just below the bottom of the legend lettering (at about 7 or 8 o'clock on the obverse and 11 or 12 oclock on the reverse side of the flan).
