Lead alloy finger ring. Cast unusually thick square section band, thickened and slightly expanded at its bezel which appears to bear a small oval panel with the motif of a 'tick', as used by a popular brand of sportswear. Traces of gilding or of gold paint appear on both the inner and outer surfaces of the band. The diameter of the ring could suggest its use by a child, so it might be a toy. Suggested date: Modern, 1900-2000. Internal diameter: 16mm, Band Width: 8.4mm, Thickness (at bezel): 4.9mm, Weight: 10.27gms
