Complete copper-alloy toggle or button-and-loop fastener of Iron Age or Roman date (c. 100 BC - 100 AD). The object has an oval-shaped head formed from two crescent wings that are flat on the underside and bulbous on the upper side. These wings curve around two concentric circles with a deep central dot. A bar curves out from the top of the back of the head and down into a square attachment loop with circular discs at each side. The object has a smooth brown surface with rough green patches of copper-corrosion. The object is 24.78mm in length, 21.00mm in width and 26.27mm in thickness…
