A cast, copper-alloy rotary key of Roman date, AD 200-410.
The key has a short solid rectangular stem (16mm) attached to a bow of octagon shape that has a loop width of 15mm. It is set at an angle of 90 degrees to that of the stem. The cross-section of the bow is 1mm thick by 6mm wide. The bow has an old break that has twisted one side out of shape. At one end of the stem, where it joins the bow, there is decoration in the form of two grooves and two raised ridges.

An incomplete Roman copper-alloy Hod Hill brooch (AD 43-75).
The head, pin and most of the catch-plate are missing. The edges are also abraded.
The brooch is now cruciform-shaped. The upper part of the bow is convex at the front and has horizontal parallel ridges and grooves. The side lugs are flat at the front. The lower part of the bow projects forwards. It is convex at the front and has similar grooves and ridges as the upper part of the bow. The rear face is flat except where a small part of the catch-plate has survived.
