A cast lead and iron steelyard weight, of probable Roman date, AD 43 - 410. It is round in plan and pear-shaped in profile, with extensive iron corrosion at both longitudinal ends where suspension loops are located. There are several vertical cracks caused by corrosion & expansion of the embedded iron. There are no markings and the surface, where not covered in rust, has a well-developed white patination. An almost complete post-Medieval copper-alloy mount (1500-1700). This mount is circular in plan and flat at the rear. The front is in the form of a moulded double rose. It has a pellet at the centre and concentric rings of evenly spaced petals. The rear face has two integral tapering spikes which are 'D'-shaped in cross-section. This mount is reddish brown and has no patina. The tip of one spike is missing. Length: 11.1mm; width: 10.8mm; thickness: 1.5mm; thickness including spikes: 3.3mm. Weight: 0.79g.

A complete post-Medieval copper-alloy pear-shaped drop handle from a piece of furniture (c. 1650-c. 1850). The object is broadly pear shaped in plan and broadly 'C'- shaped in cross-section. The front face of the object is convex and the rear is concave, except at the suspension loop and around the edges which are flat. From the sub-rectangular suspension loop, the sides taper, flare and the taper in towards the base where there is a small rounded knop.
