A possible copper-alloy post-medieval dagger scabbard chape with pressed decoration. The chape has been squashed and is now 15mm in diameter at one end and 11mm at the other and is cone shaped being circular in cross section. The chape is decorated. At the wide end is a band of sloping lines between two horizontal lines. There is a vertical diamond pattern above the band. The chape is 25mm in length.It weighs 4.25 grams. A copper-alloy post-medieval seal matrix. The seal is oval12.9mm by 13.5mm, with a carved circle near the circumference. Inside this are the letters EB or JB (with the J carved as an I with three horizontal bars), also with two 6-armed stars one each above and below the intials. The matrix base curves inwards towards the flattened handle to 4.6mm wide then curves outwards. At the top end of the handle are three horizontal holes, 3.4mm diameter, in a line above which the handle has two small projections. An incomplete cast copper-alloy Medieval barrel padlock dating from the 12th-16th century. The case is rectangular in section with flat ends and bulges around middle. One end of the case has a rectangular slot for the key and at the other end the rectangular aperture is divided into two by an internal bar. This would have taken the spring mechanism, a detachable portion that would have had an integrally cast, flat projection, terminating in the loop to hold the point of the padlock pin. A pair of copper-alloy tweezers of probable early medieval or medieval date, and which were probably used to hold pages of a book. The tweezers comprise two slender arms, arced at the top, and with slightly flared and inturned nibs at the terminals. The loop end has a very slight shoulder making it 1mm wider than the arms at that end. Approximately one third from the end is a metal bar which is bent around the arms which would have been used to secure them when not in use. The arms are not decorated.
