Cast copper alloy mount of probable post medieval date (1500-1650). The mount is in the form of an acorn being an irregular oval shape in plan and D shaped in cross section. The edges of the mount are slightly bevelled with the upper face is convex. The mount has been abraded and rounded in the plough-soil causing it to become slightly symmetrical in both plan and profile. A possible copper-alloy post-medieval dagger scabbard chape with pressed decoration. The chape has been squashed and is now 15mm in diameter at one end and 11mm at the other and is cone shaped being circular in cross section. The chape is decorated. At the wide end is a band of sloping lines between two horizontal lines. There is a vertical diamond pattern above the band. The chape is 25mm in length.It weighs 4.25 grams. A copper-alloy post-medieval seal matrix. The seal is oval12.9mm by 13.5mm, with a carved circle near the circumference. Inside this are the letters EB or JB (with the J carved as an I with three horizontal bars), also with two 6-armed stars one each above and below the intials. The matrix base curves inwards towards the flattened handle to 4.6mm wide then curves outwards. At the top end of the handle are three horizontal holes, 3.4mm diameter, in a line above which the handle has two small projections. Post Medieval copper alloy double looped buckle frame dating to AD 1350 to 1650. The buckle has two oval loops divided by a narrowed and recessed axis bar. The bar has slight knops at each end. The front is convex and the back is flat. The buckle is deformed in such a way that each loop curves giving a concave profile. The surface is covered by a brown-green patina. No decoration. An incomplete lead alloy Dutch Customs bag seal of the Post Medieval to Modern period, dating from c. AD 1815 - AD 1907. The seal is teardrop shaped with a rounded point at the apex. One face depicts a lion rampant and a sword which are inside a shield, with a crown above the shield. Small uniface lead token of post-medieval date (c. 1500 - 1700 AD). The object is a round disc with a design on one side. Unfortunately, the surface is very worn and much of the design is now obscured. What can be seen looks to be a Tudor shield in the bottom right corner of a larger design, perhaps a coat of arms. The object is light brown in colour. It is 11.62mm in diameter, 1.34mm in thickness and weighs 0.8g. A parallel example on the database may be KENT-2A8BBD.
