A pair of copper-alloy tweezers of probable early medieval or medieval date, and which were probably used to hold pages of a book. The tweezers comprise two slender arms, arced at the top, and with slightly flared and inturned nibs at the terminals. The loop end has a very slight shoulder making it 1mm wider than the arms at that end. Approximately one third from the end is a metal bar which is bent around the arms which would have been used to secure them when not in use. The arms are not decorated.
