Cast copper alloy harness fitting of Medieval date (1250-1400). The fitting is incomplete and represents only one broken element of a larger composite piece. The extant fragment is broadly rectangular in both plan and cross section. In design it is probably best described as a slotted bar which would originally have held a pivoting central spindle upon which enamelled and gilded harness pendants would have been displayed. An incomplete copper-alloy medieval buckle that conforms well to a Meols type 10 c.AD 1350 - 1400. The pin is missing, leaving just the frame. The buckle is a single looped, oval with a narrowed and offset bar and ornate outer edges. Two prominent knops flank two grooves on the outer edge of the loop which act as rests for the pin. The buckle weighs 4.15g; is 20.27mm deep and 26.09mm wide.

A late post-medieval copper-alloy hinged book clasp. One part of the hinge is flat, measuring 30mm long, 17mm wide and 1mm thick. At the non-hinged end there is a central hole 3mm in diameter. The long sides have an undulating curved pattern. The reverse has no decoration, whereas the front has some lettering scratched in it, probably a monogram consisting of the letters WN in an 18th- or 19th-century curving script. The fragment consists of part of the rim and small section of the sidewall. The internal and external surfaces have a brushed / turned surface. The vessel fragments are a mid green grey colour with a coroded surface patina. The tweezers comprise two slender arms, arced at the top, and with slightly flared and inturned nibs at the terminals. A very worn and incomplete cast copper alloy (bronze) flat axe of Early Bronze Age date (c. 2200 - 2000 BC). The flat axe is broadly sub triangular in plan with a splayed crescent shaped blade. In profile it is broadly lentoid, with slightly tapering edges. In cross section the axe is rectangular. One long edge is curved and the opposite is relatively flat. The tips of the crescent shaped blade have been damaged through either abrasion or wear, as has the blade edge itself. A distinct blade facet is not present; it has been lost through abrasion.
