Cast lead or lead alloy bi-convex decorated spindle whorl of Roman to Post Medieval date (1 - 1650 AD); most probably medieval date (AD 1300-1550). The spindle whorl is broadly circular in plan and a globular bi-convex shape in profile. Both faces have a cast rim around the edge and also a similar rim around the circumference of the inner hole - this central rim is very high compared to most examples recorded to date. A near complete cast copper alloy Roman Trumpet brooch dating from AD 75 - 175. The bow of the brooch has an angular profile and an angular D shaped cross section. The bow tapers from a flared head to a tapered foot knop. The head of the brooch is complete, it is very robust being oval in plan, and tapers into the bow. The reverse of the head is concave and has a cast D shaped projecting bar which extends from the upper to lower edges of the reverse. Two conjoining fragments of a cast copper alloy turned vessel of probable late medieval to post medieval date (1400 - 1650). The fragment consists of part of the rim and small section of the sidewall. The internal and external surfaces have a brushed / turned surface. The vessel fragments are a mid green grey colour with a coroded surface patina. The fragments when joined measures 55.8mm length, 41.2mm width, is 4.1mm thick at rim and 2.2mm thick body; it weighs 21.25 grams. The axis bar, spring and pin are lost. The damage appears to be old as the breaks are either corroded or patinated. Originally the strap end would have been rectangular (tongue shaped) with a rounded base and riveted attachment plate. The tweezers comprise two slender arms, arced at the top, and with slightly flared and inturned nibs at the terminals. The loop end has a very slight shoulder making it 1mm wider than the arms at that end. A very worn and incomplete cast copper alloy (bronze) flat axe of Early Bronze Age date (c. 2200 - 2000 BC). The flat axe is broadly sub triangular in plan with a splayed crescent shaped blade. In profile it is broadly lentoid, with slightly tapering edges. In cross section the axe is rectangular. One long edge is curved and the opposite is relatively flat.
