Post Medieval copper alloy double looped buckle frame dating to AD 1350 to 1650. The buckle has two oval loops divided by a narrowed and recessed axis bar. The bar has slight knops at each end. The front is convex and the back is flat. The buckle is deformed in such a way that each loop curves giving a concave profile. The surface is covered by a brown-green patina. No decoration. The frame measures 37.3 mm in length, 25.8 mm in width, 2.5 mm in thickness and weighs 4.03 g. This style of buckle is quite common and numerous examples are documentedon this database. Medieval or Post Medieval copper alloy foot from a cooking vessel probably dating to AD 1200 to 1650. The foot is trapezoidal in section and with three narrow ribs on the outer surface. The piece measures 60.7 mm in length, 35.2 mmin width, 26.7 mm in thickness and weighs 147.03 g. Cast copper alloy vessels were widely used from AD 1200 to 1700. Legs and feet are the most commonly recorded find and Butler et alii (2009, 4) suggest there were four main types of leg used. The buckle has two oval loops with moulded rosette decoration on the outer edge of each loop and lobed knops at either end of the central strap bar. The pin is missing. The front is convex and the back is flat and undecorated. The buckle is deformed in such a way that one loop curves in a convex profile. A thumbnail scraper worked from a reused primary or secondary flake of grey-brown flint; cortex covers those areas of the dorsal face which do not exhibit retouch, c. 60%. A Roman copper alloy Colchester derivative initial T-shaped brooch, probably dating to c. AD 50-100. The brooch survives largely complete, missing only its pin and with the catchplate incomplete due to abrasion. At the head of the brooch the wings survive to a width of 24.6mm, these are cylindrical; retaining a copper alloy axis bar in situ, and with a sub-rectangular slot cut into the reverse to accomodate a hinged pin.
