The extant fragment is broadly rectangular in both plan and cross section. A small Neolithic polished axehead, possibly reworked from a larger original one. The axehead is slender and is pointed oval in section across the middile. The cutting edge is crescentric and displays polish on both faces. The main body of the axe is unpolished. The butt end is unusual, being set a 90 degrees to the cutting edge and forming a second blade. Both faces of the blade are polished, and extending a short way along the edge of the axe. An incomplete copper-alloy medieval buckle that conforms well to a Meols type 10 c.AD 1350 - 1400. The pin is missing, leaving just the frame. The buckle is a single looped, oval with a narrowed and offset bar and ornate outer edges. Two prominent knops flank two grooves on the outer edge of the loop which act as rests for the pin. The buckle weighs 4.15g; is 20.27mm deep and 26.09mm wide.

A late post-medieval copper-alloy hinged book clasp. One part of the hinge is flat, measuring 30mm long, 17mm wide and 1mm thick. At the non-hinged end there is a central hole 3mm in diameter.
