A small Neolithic polished axehead, possibly reworked from a larger original one. The axehead is slender and is pointed oval in section across the middile. The cutting edge is crescentric and displays polish on both faces. The main body of the axe is unpolished. The butt end is unusual, being set a 90 degrees to the cutting edge and forming a second blade. Both faces of the blade are polished, and extending a short way along the edge of the axe. It seems possible that the area that is now the butt was originally the cutting edge of an entirely polished axe that has been later reworked…

Four Late Neolithic to Early Bronze Age flint scrapers, probably dating to c. 3,300-1,600BC. 1. A thumbnail scraper worked from a reused primary or secondary flake of grey-brown flint; cortex covers those areas of the dorsal face which do not exhibit retouch, c. 60%. The flake has no clear point or bulb of percussion, with one facet of the dorsal face at the proximal end and the ventral face much more heavily patinated, suggesting the reuse of an older tool.
