Approx. half of a sub-square sectioned whetstone, of smooth, worn fine-grained schist, thin sedimentary banding is just visable on two opposing sides. The end changes section to almost triangular, with deeply incised "V" at a slight angle on one face. The very end has fine, parrallel scratches from use. C. 800 to 1100 AD.

Adze, bifacially struck from a water worn cobble of mottled light grey flint now patinated off-white with some small areas of iron staining to both faces. The cobble's original battered surface is unmodified on the tip of the butt, with one side dominated by a thermal (frost) fracture, making this triangular in section to just over half of its length, with flake removals struck from this using the frost fracture as a platform. Description: Post medieval silver cuff link element. A circular disc with a down-turned edge, now bent out of shape in places and missing a small section of the rim due to breaks. The obverse exhibits a stamped repoussé design of a flaming heart pierced by two arrows in saltire with two droplets below on a stippled background (Lewis, 2013, Type B).
