A complete knapped probable gunflint blank from which gunflints for flintlock muskets of Post-Medieval date, c.AD 1600 - 1900, could be produced. Description: The flint is broadly rectangular in plan and resembles a stretched pillow shaped gunflint. with tapering sides and a trapezoidal cross-section. A complete copper-alloy Colchester derivative, hinged type of Mackreth 2011, CD H, 4.c. Plate 57f Roman date, c.AD 55 - 100. The head of the brooch comprises tubular wings within which is an axis bar which act as a hinge mechanism for the pin. A pin remains looped through a central slot to the reverse of the wings, tapering to a worn point. The pin is bent and the wings appear undecorated. A copper-alloy nail-cleaner strap-end with a spool-neck, sub-Group A. The main body is made form a lozenge shaped plate with an elongated lower point that has a V-shape notched terminal, unfortunately the terminal is truncated but the groove for the nail cleaner notch is still visible. On the top edge are the bases of two opposing crescents, the leading edges of which are truncated. Above this would be the attachment element of the strap end but this is also truncated. A post-medieval (c. 1575-1700) asymmetrical double-looped buckle, complete in terms of its frame but missing its pin. One loop is trapezoidal and measures 20.3 by 11.7mm, the other is D-shaped and measures 20.1 by 14.7mm. The latter has a small rounded projection into the loop at its centre. The bar separating the two loops is bent slightly to one side. The buckle is D-shaped in cross-section, with a flat reverse. There are grooved rebates on the outer edge of each loop. A post-medieval (c. 1620-1680) copper-alloy double-looped buckle frame, complete in and of itself, but missing its pin. The frame is flat on both sides and is symmetrical with both loops trapezoidal in form, measuring 13.6 by 9.5mm. The outer edges of the buckle are trefoil in shape, composing of lobed ends and with a central triangular projection. An almost complete cast copper-alloy lid from a Roman seal box of Andrews Type L2D1 dating to the 2nd or 3rd century AD. The lid is lozengiform, with slightly concave sides, is hollow, and rectangular in cross-section. At of the narrower apices of the lid is a small, oval pierced lug, off centre, following one of the sides; its counterpart would have been set to the other side giving a double lug. ~~Copper alloy nail cleaner of Grooved Collar Type that has a circular shaft with a long single grooved, plain collar at its head. The collar is decorated with cross-hatching with a grooved collar above and below. A domed head with a rectangular scar at its terminal is all that remains of the suspension loop. The shaft has a narrowed mid section and expand to a flattened tip that has a V-shaped notch in the centre.

TREASURE CASE : 2018 T478. The coin is a Roman silver siliqua of Arcadius, mint of Milan, AD 393-4. It is unusually thin and slightly dished, possibly due to a combination of wear and surface cleaning, as the metal is bright even though the coin is pitted and corroded. An incomplete copper-alloy Nail Cleaner with a moulded neck of Roman date (AD 43-200). The blade is leaf shaped, with rounded shoulders and a tapering blade which terminates in an old abraded transverse break. The suspension loop is separated from the blade by a narrow collard neck with three moulded transverse grooves. The loop is circular with a central perforation and situated in the same plane as the blade. Length: 35.83mm, Width: 17.64mm, Thickness: 3.61mm, Weight: 3.5g. The metal is a mid-green in colour with a slightly pitted patina.

Incomplete cast copper alloy Roman hinged Initial T-shaped, South-western derivative brooch. The crossbar is corroded and the ends are incomplete but appear to be bulbous. The brooch is quite heavily made, and the lower part of the brooch and the hinged pin mechanism is missing. The crossbar is 33 mm in length and 6 mm in diameter at its thinnest and 6.5 mm in diameter at the bulbous end.
