Copper farthing trade token of John Cossen, issued in the Isles of Scilly and dated to 1666 on the obverse. Williamson, 1967, p.102, no.43 refers to a farthing token with the same date being issued by Richard Scaddan of Ludgvan who married Joan Cossen, both described as of Penzance, at Stowford in Devon in October 1647. There is also mention in the deaths registers of the early 18th century of Cossens on the island of St Mary's in the Isles of Scilly.
