An incomplete copper-alloy Nail Cleaner with a moulded neck of Roman date (AD 43-200). The blade is leaf shaped, with rounded shoulders and a tapering blade which terminates in an old abraded transverse break. The suspension loop is separated from the blade by a narrow collard neck with three moulded transverse grooves. The loop is circular with a central perforation and situated in the same plane as the blade. Length: 35.83mm, Width: 17.64mm, Thickness: 3.61mm, Weight: 3.5g. The metal is a mid-green in colour with a slightly pitted patina.
