An incomplete probable ovate flint handaxe of Lower Palaeolithic date (500,000 - 180,000 BC),
Description: The handaxe is incomplete and has a heavily tumbled surface. It was produced via bifacial working with one face being almost entirely destroyed by damage leaving it rough and pitted. The point is rounded and one edge of the remaining face is incomplete also. The flint is the characteristic light brown-orangey 'toffee' colour with some brown to light brown iron staining typical of Palaeolithic flint finds
Measurements:79.65mm long, 57.03mm wide, 20.21mm thick and 84.75g in weight.

A possible Mousterian point of Middle Palaeolithic date.
Description: The point is roughly triangular in plan and cross-section, with an apparently facetted but end although this is heavily worn. The point is formed by long flaked removals with retouch heavily obscured by patination and recortication but appears to be long scaled low angle retouch. The conchoidal rippling on the flaking is substantial on the dorsal face while the bulb and conchoidal rippling on the ventral side is very subtle, indicating mixed technique used in its production.
