A copper-alloy Medieval seal matrix of Robert de Melford, dating to AD 1300-1400. The matrix has an hexagonal handle, which has a semi-circular terminal on top. The terminal has a circular hole. The die is shield-shaped and depicts an unclear motif in the centre surrounded by the inscription: starS'ROB[...]ELFO. An incomplete copper-alloy Medieval sexfoils-domed belt mount, dating to AD 1350-1450. It is hexagonal in plan and has the domed front face decorated with radiant grooved lines defining six triangles; a groove runs along the bases of the trangles, flanking the edges. The face of the each triangle has a series of grooved segments running from the base to a third of its height. The centre of the mount has a circular hole blocked by a white material, which might be soldering or chalk deposited while the mount was in the ground. Cf. An incomplete copper-alloy Iron Age to Roman penannular brooch, dating to c. 50 BC- AD 100. It consists of half part of the frame. It is oval in cross-section with one end slightly flattened and rolled in itself creating an oval loop; the other end is broken and worn. The surface is very worn and damaged. Cf. An incomplete copper-alloy Early Medieval to Medieval casket mount, dating to AD 900-1150. It is rectangular in plan with a sub-triangular cross-section. On the front face, both ends are decorated with a head of an outward looking beast, characterized by pointed ears, wide open eyes, nostrils and mouth. In the middle of the mount there is a circular fixing hole with a copper-alloy rivet still in place. Where the the latter fixing hole is the mount has an other animal beast moulded-relief. An incomplete copper-alloy Medieval strap end, dating to AD 1300-1450. It consists of two sheets of metal held together by a copper-alloy rivet on the attachment end. The strap end is sub-rectangular in plan and tapers towards the broken end; the opposite attachment end has old breaks as well, now worn. The front face has a line of punched triangles running longitudinally along the long edges. The back face is undecorated. The surfaces are very corroded and might have traces of tin coating.
