A late medieval groat of Edward IV, second reign (1471-83), standard type 'F' with trefoils on the cusps of the tressure, pierced cross and pellet initial mark (the pellet in quarter 2 on the obverse and quarter 3 on the reverse), type XIX. Mint of London, dating to 1471-83.

A late medieval groat of Edward IV, second reign (1471-83), standard type 'F', probably trefoil initial mark (visible to the reverse). Mint of London, dating to (probably) 1470-1. There are small trefoils on the cusps of the tressure. The finder reports that the coin was bent when found and subsequently annealed and straightened. With thanks to Carl Savage for the identification of this coin and the suggested date.
