A complete lead-alloy papal bulla of Pope Alexander IV dating to the medieval period. Pope Alexander IV reigned from 12 December 1254 to his death in 1261.
The obverse of the bulla is stamped with the faces of saints Peter and Paul within a border of raised pellets. Above the heads within the border, the saints' abbreviations are visible with 'SPA' for St. Paul to the left and 'SPE' for St. Peter to the right.
