An incomplete cast copper alloy skillet leg with a mounded bulbous transverse collar above a slightly pointed bifid foot designed to look like a hoof. The leg is sub-rectangular in plan and profile and plano-convex in section, with a flat back at 90 degrees to the base. One end is broken above the collar where it has been severed from the rest of the leg. There are patches of burnt organic material on the back and sides of the foot which would have adhered to the surface when the vessel was near the fire. The main body of the object is a flat circle, (diameter: 19mm; thickness: 4mm) with a smaller circle, or rounded pentagon, (diameter: 12mm; thickness: 3mm) attached off centre. This central shape has a small hole in its centre (diameter: 4mm.) The object has an off-white to pale brown patina.

It consists of a semi-circular cross-sectioned element, which has the convex face moulded into an animal head. One end of the mount has signs of breaks, now worn; the other end has a raised collar.
