A Post-Medieval gold iinscribed finger-ring, of 'Posy' type.. Description: The ring is formed from a thin hoop, with a convex outer face. The innermost face is engraved with a saying, motto or message in lower case does read 'God above increase our love'. There is also a makers mark of 'DF' in blackletter stamped on the inner band after the motto. The outside of the hoop is undeccorated. The hoop is now roughly ovoid due to post-depositional damage. A sherd from a cordoned Roman vessel. The cord decoration is prominent and there are two incised lines above and below the cord. The vessel is oxidised orange on the outer surfaces with a reduced grey core. The fabric is fine grained with sparce inclusions of quartz less than 0.5mm in diameter, crushed shell and charcoal approximately 0.5mm - 1mm in diameter. This is a beach find and many inclusions have been lost or dissolved as a result of the action of the sea. Length: 56.9 mm, width: 50.1mm and thickness: 23.2mm. Weight 74.5g.

A Post-Medieval silver plated copper alloy contemporary forgery of a silver half crown of Charles I (1625-1649), Tower mint under Charles I, dating from 1641 onwards. Incomplete cast copper alloy double loop spectacle buckle frame of Post-medieval date. The loops are bevelled on the inner edges and the reverse is flat, making them D-shaped in section. The pin bar is narrowed and bevelled and flush with the frame and the pin is missing. The corrosion on the surface of the frame has combined with the surrounding soil to produce a brown colour. A black coating along one edge suggests that the buckle frame was lacquered to protect it from corrosion. The frame is 31.8 mm long, 26.8 mm wide and 3.8 mm thick and weighs 4.35 g. Incomplete cast copper alloy annular ring brooch, circular in plan and lozenge-shaped in section with an undulating profile, with three recesses dividing four decorated sections. One of the recesses also has a recess on the back of the brooch, where the hinge of the pin was wrapped around the diameter of the ring. There is a slight groove on the opposite side of the brooch which might have acted as the pin rest, but it is probably just from wear. The pin is now missing.
