Rim fragment from a copper-alloy cooking vessel. It measures 77.5 wide by 43mm high and is roughly in the form of a trapezium, with the rim as the longest edge and three old breaks at the lower edges. The vertical profile shows a convex thickened lip to the inner face of up to 5mm thickness over a circumferential strip extending downwards to 13.5mm below the rim, and the thickness of the side wall at the bottom edge of the fragment is 2.5mm, increasing to a maximum of 3.4mm near the rim. Early Bronze age copper alloy flat axehead. The axe is in fair condition with a brown/green patina and weighs 143 grams. It is 84mm long and up to 55mm wide, and has a convex butt and moderately concave sides, with a lenticular profile and cross-section. It is 24.7mm wide and 4mm thick at the butt end, from whence it expands gradually and reaches its thickest just under half way along its length where it is 10.5mm thick.
