Pottery. Coal Measures Purple Ware, a grey reduced fabric with moderately abundant rounded black inclusions to length 2.5mm, and with a warty exterior with a dull green glaze; body sherd. A thumb print, possibly from attachment of a handle, appears on one edge. This sherd was kindly identified by Wallace Collyer of the North Lincolnshire Pottery Research Group. Suggested date: Late Medieval to Early Post-Medieval, 1450-1550. Weight: 51.04gms

A sherd from the rim of a glazed ceramic vessel, dating from the medieval period, about AD 1100 - 1500. The sherd has an abraded rim with an everted flange. The fabric is grey throughout and is hard, with an irregular texture and sparse, well sorted quartz inclusions. The surface is pale orange in places, and the glaze is olive green. It is 61.3mm long, 23.2mm wide and 15.7mm thick. It weighs 23.42gm.

A sherd from the handle of a glazed cermaic vessel, a jug, dating from the medieval period, about AD 1100 - 1500. The fabric is pale orange, hard and has an irrgular texture. The handle is oval in cross section and curved in profile. There are patches of a dark purple brown glaze. It is 78.7mm long, 35.7mm wide and 20.5m thick. It weighs 58.76gm.
