An incomplete Medieval or post Medieval Copper alloy double looped spectacle buckle dating to the period c. AD 1350 -AD 1650. The pin and one loop are missing. The buckle fragment consists of a broadly oval loop with a transverse, scalloped decorative moulding of five semi-circular projections divided by four grooves. The narrowed and offset strap bar terminate in pointed knops. The buckle measures 19.80 mm in length, 27.56 mm in width and weighs 3.28 grams. An incomplete post-Medieval copper-alloy object, possibly part of the butt of a toy pistol (c. 1750-c. 1900). This object is shield-shaped in plan and the straight end is in the form of a break. The front has a moulded design. There is raised hatching with two slightly oblique pellets contained within a border of ridges. At the rounded end there are the remains of an iron rivet. Silver shirt stud fastener or button with two raised hearts surmounted by a crown in front of a stippled background of incised dots on the face. The crown has two jewelled arches on either side of a central cross with four punched annulets along the band beneath. The stud consists of two discoidal sections joined by a central integral stem. The upper disc has a bevelled, folded outer edge producing a dish shape and thus a concave reverse. A complete copper-alloy strap fitting of Post-Medieval date, c.AD 1500 -1700. The main plate is in the form of a scallop shell with an integral trefoil projection at the centre of the flat edge. The reverse is flat with two circular sectioned parallel spikes, both of which bend toward the centre of the fitting. The metal has a dark green patina and is worn. The main plate is an openwork trefoil knot design with a D-shaped section. Lead palm guard or sailmaker's glove fragment. A fragment from a rounded flat object cut from cast lead sheet, with a curving profile well-adapted to fit in the hollow of the hand. Both sides bear a series of fine scratches variously oriented, with those on the presently concave side clearer and presumably more recent. The object was bent to fit the user's hand, and had been reversed in the course of its working life.
