An incomplete copper-alloy hooked tag of Early Medieval date, c.AD 600 - 1150. Reads Class A, Type 1. The main plate is sub-triangular with rounded sides and an integral hook extending from the pointed end. The hook curves slightly and terminates in a worn break. Two attachment holes are present, one in either corner. The plate appear undecorated. The metal has a mid-green patina and is worn. The hooked tag is 18.5mm long, 15.3mm wide, 0.9mm thick and weighs 0.7g. Parallels can be seen in Read (2008), p.11 which date from the 7th to the early 12th century.

Two undecorated square panels with rectangular sections are linked by an integral narrower D-sectioned bar. The remains of a second such bar projects from the lower edge of the second panel and terminates in a worn break. Incomplete Middle Saxon copper alloy Ansate brooch of Thörle 2001, Gruppe II and Hübener 1972, Gruppe 1. Both oval terminals decorated with four punched ring-and-dots. Narrow D-sectioned bow, straightened and lowered by distortion. On the reverse of one terminal a perforation in the transverse pin lug is filled and obscured by iron corrosion, the other terminal is covered with solder. Length (distorted) 37mm. Width of terminals 12.5 and 13.5mm, of bow 6mm. Weighs 5.15g. c.720 - c.850 AD.

Probable Middle Saxon connecting bar or suspension link from a chain. The object comprises a solid-cast rectangular-sectioned bar tapering from a broad end (4 x 3mm) with recessed loop to a narrow end (2 x 2mm) with a pair of engraved transverse lines on each face before a slightly recessed loop (diameter 4.7mm) set at 90° to that at the other end. Length 21.5mm. Weighs 1.15g. Cf. two broadly related links in Penn 2000 (EAA 92), Harford Farm Grave 19A, Fig.89, no.4. Second half of the 7th century.

A cast lead spindle whorl of possible Early Medieval date, about AD 700 - 1100. The whorl is of Walton Rogers Form A2, having two flat faces of unequal size and angled sides. The large central aperture is about 10mm diameter, suggesting a date range in the later Early Medieval period. The whorl is small, plain and atinated to white. It is 16.9mm in diameter and 11.1mm thick. It weighs 12.49gm. This object could also be interpreted as a knife component or fixing.

An unidentitied late Early Medieval or medieval coin. The coin is uniface and depicts a crowned facing king. The king has a triangular face set on an oval neck line. Both sides of the face are made of three pellets, leading to a beard made of solid line. A curved line of har - again made of pellets - extends to either side. The crown has two solid lines across the forehead, and two diagonal lines above that cross at the top. The insription reads: +VIS(sideways S)[ ]E+HEIOCIIT. The reverse is blank.

A complete copper alloy early medieval stirrup terminal of zoomorphic form dating from c. AD 1050 - 1100. The terminal is subrectangular in plan and semi-circular in section. The terminal is in the form of an elongated animal head; at the top are two large moulded ears, both of which are crescentric. Below these are two large oval eyes, leading into an upturned snout. An Early Mediveal copper alloy escutcheon from a Late Celtic hanging bowl of Bruce-Mitford Type B or C (Bruce-Mitford 2005, 11). The escutcheon is circular, slightly domed, and would have been set into a circular frame with integral hook. The convex front is decorated with a developed multi-spiral trumpet design - a criterea which Bruce-Mitford sees as demonstrating a relative late date in the hanging bowl series (Bruce-Mitford 2005, 14). A possibly complete copper-alloy disc of probable Early-Medieval date, c.AD 800 - 1000. The object is circular and flat, stamped on one surface with a series of irregularly spaced ring and dot designs. The metal has a dark green patina and is worn. The object is 14.8mm in diameter, 1.4mm thick and weighs 1.1g. There are no obvious means of attachment on the object to suggest its possible function and, while ring and dot is a common feature in Early-Medieval decoration, it is also used in the Roman, medieval and later periods.
