A cast lead pendant weight, perhaps a net weight of probable Medieval date, about AD 1200 - 1500. It is rectangular in section and tapers to a point at one end. At the other end is a crude integral suspension loop with an oval perforation, the the weight tapers in thickness to a wide point. A similar object, but with more design features than this crude example, is illustrated on page 311 of Medieval Households where it is suggested to be a net weight, plumb bob or ship's sounding weight. Lead alloy spoon fragment. Short cast rectangular section fragment of the stem of a spoon, with a moulded feature on the underside at one broken end. This might be part of an initial letter, or possibly the feet of a figure. Whatever it may be, it is set above a straight horizontal cabled line. There is a hint of an expansion to support a bowl at the other end. Suggested date: Post-Medieval, 1700-1800.
