Lead possible game piece. Disc, probably cast, with incised features on one side. The clearest mark is a rectangle. However, one side of that figure - the uppermost relative to a further feature - also forms one of the crossing bars of a small Chi Rho. Lightly patinated, retaining the grey tint of metal. The inscribed mark could point to a later Roman date, though the good surface condition of the object and a paucity of Roman finds from the vicinity must qualify this attribution.
