Cast Copper-alloy single looped buckle with integral forked spacer plate. Medieval in date, c. AD1350 - AD1450.
The frame is sub-oval in plan and has a pointed lip for a pin rest. Vestiges of an iron pin remain upon the frame opposite the lip, around the pin bar at the base of the forked spacer. A locating ridge flanks the pin bar at the base of the forked spacer and this would have abutted with the buckle plate. The forked spacer is truncated.The flaky surface patina is light green in colour and abraded with base metal exposed.

A post-Medieval cast Copper-alloy double loop oval buckle with angled frames dating c AD 1500 - AD1650. The buckle frame consists of opposing double loops which are D-shaped in plan, with a central strap bar, sharply bevelled. The frame is a D section, undecorated and flat on the bottom. At the end of the strap bar the loop sides are concave.
Ferrous corrosion product is present on the strap bar and on one of the loops, probably a witness mark from an iron pin. Overall condition is good with a light green powdery finish.

Unidentified object, a flat lead artefact up to 7.5mm thick and in the form of an irregular pentagon in plan measuring up to 47.0mm in width and 37.3mm in height. Three of the edges are 30mm long, and the other two are 22mm. One face has decoration in the form of an incised circumferential line 7mm in from the edge. This is obscured along the bottom edge as the object appears to have been hammered and thinned along that edge, probably in antiquity, as it has a uniform thick white patination covering all faces.

Detached leg from a copper alloy cooking pot or cauldron, probably of medieval or post-medieval date, c1200 - 1600. It is roughly pentagonal in plan and rectangular in section. The sides are parallel and it has a straight break at the upper end where it would have been attached. It slopes at an angle of c.30 degrees from the vertical and has a flattened foot. There are traces of sooting on all faces apart from the top, and where not present the item has a green patina.
It is 18.6mm in height, 25.7mm wide and the thickness varies from 14.5 at the upper end to 13.8mm at the foot. It…

A cast lead-alloy mount or strap fitting, probably of post-medieval date.
Description: The object is an unequal hexagon in plan with two sides longer than the other four. It is cast in one piece with a distinct casting seam running vertically up the centre of the reverse. Also in the centre of the reverse and close to one end is an integrally-cast rivet or stud, circular in section and now bent to one side, presumably for use in attachment. There are traces of a red dye or paint on the reverse only. The front face is undecorated and smooth.

Complete post-Medieval Copper-alloy strap-tensioner buckle (c. 1500 - 1700 AD). The buckle consists of two components; a cast circular frame with a bevelled edge and a single folded cast plate with beaded tranverse lines on the long edges. It is folded round the frame and fastened by a Copper-alloy rivet. The unattached end of the plate is bent at the extremity and pierced. The strap-tensioner measures: 29.02 mm in length, 14.56 mm in width and 4.98mm in thickness. The weight of the strap-tensioner is 1.92g. Condition is good with a powdery light green surface with concretions in places.

An incomplete copper alloy Harness Pendant of Medieval date (AD 1200-1400). The pendant is circular and flat with an integral elongated attachment loop extending from the upper edge. The loop is set at 91 degrees to the pendant plate and retains an intact circular loop at its upper end.
The upper surface of the pendant bears a central motif probably featuring a raised. No enamel is retained however minor amount of gilding is retained indicating the border of a squared shield. The sub-rectangular suspension loop at the top is about 14.6mm high, 16.2mm wide and 4.0mm thick. The upper and lower hemispheres are divided by a prominent horizontal circumferential joining rib. Late Iron Age to Roman copper alloy Langton Down brooch, probably of Mackreth's (2011) Type 2.b, dating to the period c. AD 25 - 60. The wings are incomplete. They would have originally formed a cylindrical hood to house the missing spring and axis bar. The bow is divided from the spring case by a crescentic cross-moulding. The bow tapers from the head and terminates in an old break. It exhibits reeded longitudinal moulding. The lower, bow, foot and catchplate are missing.

Copper alloy mount fragment. Part of a probably discoid and lightly concavo-convex plate with one of a number of U-shaped lugs projecting from a flat rim bearing a drilled fixing hole of diameter 2mm. The plate itself has three concentric convex zones within the rim, the central one of the three being a ridge between plain fields. Part of the edge of an off-centre hole of diameter c.10mm appears at the broken edge of the object. The provision for fixing by separate rivets tends to suggest a medieval date.
