A complete iron horse shoe of late medieval to early post-medieval date (c. 1350 - c. 1700) The shoe has a broad web (46 mm at the toe, 33 mm at the heel) and is 130 mm wide. In overall shape, it matches the late medieval form described by Clark (1986, p. 3, fig. 8). Four nails are in situ in sequence on the branch of the shoe (possibly more are present on the quarter but due to corrosion of the plate surface they are not distinct).
