A near complete copper-alloy spatula probe dating to the Roman period. The implement has a plain blunt olivary probe end that extends to an undecorated circular-sectioned shaft that increases in thickness before connecting to a collar of decorative moulding consisting of four conjoined but evenly spaced circular discs. Attached to the last disc is the spatula head that comprises a flat lozenge-shaped blade with a rectangular-shaped knop extending from the apex on each side, and an elongated tip with a shallow recession and a broken terminal.
