An incomplete copper-alloy and gilded possible mount for a belt or strap fitting of the Late Post Medieval period, possibly dating from circa AD 1700- 1850. The main body of the object is broadly semi-circular in plan. With a rounded upper edge and flat lower edge. The flat lower edge then extends in to a rectangular form with possible evidence for iron staining. The object is decorated on one side with a face consisting of a narrow nose and circular eyes.
