An irregular sub-discoidal Neolithic flint scraper made on a secondary flake with a striking platform (c. 4000 BC-c. 2351 BC). The dorsal face has an off-centre ridge and the removals at the steep sided distal end are long, parallel and abrupt. Further removals on both sides of the dorsal face are very short, parallel and semi-abrupt. The ventral face has a bulbar scar and a low bulb of percussion with diffuse ripples which are barely visible. The flint is opaque, light grey with off-white/creamy marbling. The surfaces are shiny and the cortex on the dorsal face is off-white. …

Pale grey flint probable scraper. A thick sub-rectangular flake with broad flakes removed from its dorsal side and with a flat ventral surface. Very short abrupt retouch executed from the dorsal aspect forms a shallow indentation in one short side, and possibly along the opposite edge to facilitate pressure being brought to bear on what appears to have served as a shaft trimming tool. Suggested date: probably Neolithic, 4000-2350 BC. Length: 24.7mm, Width: 23mm, Thickness: 7.1mm, Weight: 4.79gms
